Let's take Care of the animals

I love the animals, I love them more than the human. My mother has always been an animal lover too, and from very small, me and my sister have had pets, from dogs to rabbits.  But now I have only two dogs and a beautiful cat called Toffee.

The love for them is so important in my family that my sister is in his fourth year of veterinary medicine in college and my mom belongs to a brigade animal that helps homeless animals, and I am very interested in the study of animal behavior.

I think the humans is the most dangerous species on the planet. In two seconds is able, if they so wish, to devastate large areas ecological. in that sense, we are the most contemptible creatures in the world. However I think animal testing is useful for many scientific discoveries, but there is a limit. If Invasive techniques are used with them, also should be used it with humans, with your consent.

I don't like going to zoos. I think the money and the wish to know a tiger don´t  justify the stress and little dignity in the lives of animals.

Well, I´m an animal, but if I could be other animal, I would be an humming bird because they are beautiful and they are a noble animals. Also, they are small like me C:

Fortunately for human beings, animals haven’t  conscience and don’t know why ,little by Little, their habitat is changing so drastically. for example: culpeo fox, chinchilla mountain range, the woodpecker, are not aware of their situation. it is best that they follow in their innocence, and they don't see the atrocities being committed in the world we live.

I hope everyone aware of the great damage being done to innocent beings and we finish with these horrible practices.

Save the planet, save ourselves

When I think about the environment, I can’t help feeling sad. I think that the humans are self-destroying, and incidentally, they are destroying all living things. I feel a terrible fear to think what the world will be in fifty years.

The world would be better if people would learn to respect nature, and that is learned in the family. To most people lack education and culture and this is reflected in the municipalities of Santiago. in the uptown people worry much about having a clean, while in slums people do not care it.

My family always recycle boxes of milk and plastic and glass bottles, and since I was a child, they taught me to care for animals and nature, My parents always set me the example.

If I would live near of my university and my activities, I would ride in bicycle, but I walk always that I can. I use the public transport, in this way I help the planet.

I would like to supported any eco-organisations, but my father is who pay, so when I been adult, i will supported to Green Peace, but, if it were me I would go to a boat and I would go to the fight to avoid the killing of whales in Antarctica. I would not mind die for this noble cause.

In Santiago, and I think in most places in the world, lack awareness about this problem. Because the effects, only now, are perceiving, but the future generations are going to really suffer. I hope that somehow, We don't destroy our planet, because are the innocent who will suffer the dire consequences. I hope the people take aware about this problem taht affects us all.

Music and my life

I hate talk about de music. I don’t like when people categorize others in relation to their musical tastes. Just listen it and enjoy great moments. Music has no sex or religion or political, so what really matters is the message the song wants to leave.  Music has been present at important stages in my life. Especially, the songs that my father sang when we traveled, since then I've been interested in the essentials of music: its content. So, your you're wondering, but classical music has no lyrics, how it can have content?. It’s easy! Classical music evokes feelings and that is its contents.

I like intelligent music, not a particular kind of music. Obviously, I prefer to listen light music with soft melodies to listen to hard rock or rap, especially French music like Coeur de Pirate, because her tone of voice is special and their lyrics are nice.

When I was a child I went to a concert by Luis Fonsi, from that moment didn’t go to any other concert. I wouldn't spend money for go to see to somebody same to me, I prefer listen the music in my home and download their songs online.

A song that brings back many memories is “ un beso y una flor” by  Nino Bravo because my father always played this song in the car, along with Cat Stevens.

I just hear music, I don't play any instruments, and I sing only in the shower, but I would like to learn to sing, but I know I could never get it right.

The music is capable of expressing deep feelings. It is a form of entertainment and communication. without it, the world would be sad and we would all be more self-absorbed

I leave you with one of my favorite songs :)

The dangerous nocebo effect

Hello everyone! Today I show you an interesting paper about the Nocebo effect, is amazing how much science advances!!
If you dont know what is the effect nocebo, read this
Can just telling a man he has cancer kill him? Well, in 1992  the Southern Medical Journal reported a case like this! A man diagnosed with cancer and given just months to live, at death, his autopsy showed that the tumour in his liver had not grown!! and his intern said: "Could it be that, instead of the cancer, it was his expectation of death that killed him?"
This is an extreme case of effect nocebo wich is the opposite of the placebo effect, This poses an ethical quandary: should doctors warn patients about side-effects if doing so makes them more likely to arise?
The nocebo effect can also be highly infectious. For example, In 1962, 62 workers were suddenly stricken with headaches, nausea and rashes, and the outbreak was blamed upon an insect arriving from England.  No insect was ever found. These  "mass psychogenic illnesses"usually affecting close communities and especially the female sex.
Irene Tracey and collaborators show that, at the neurological level at least, these volunteers really are responding to actual, non-imaginary, pain. On the other hand Fabrizio Benedetti and his colleagues determined one of the neurochemicals responsible for converting the expectation of pain into this genuine pain perception. The chemical is called cholecystokinin and carries messages between nerve cells. The findings of Tracey's team carry startling implications for the way we practise modern medicine because the patient's negative expectations would have the power to undermine the effectiveness of a treatment, and suggests that doctors would do well to treat the beliefs of their patients, not just their physical symptoms.
All this is very important becouse today's society is litigious and sceptical, and if doctors overemphasise side-effects to their patients to avoid being sued, or patients mistrust their doctor's chosen course of action, the nocebo effect can cause a treatment to fail before it has begun. So, must we believe in our doctors? because if we believe in them too strongly, we can die from their pronouncements.
I think today the work of the doctor is overvalued, especially in the elderly, and often the things the doctor says are taken at face valueand people begin to depend on drugs and doctor visits, never to return to his previous life.

That is why, I think it is vitally important to spread this kind of research so that people can know update  how your body works and learn to control it.

I hope you liked the article and reflections about it. I leave the link to the original paper :)

See you soon!

Euthanasia, your option!

When I think in the death, I try to think in the way with less suffering and most quite of all ways. But when a person die, only die, and most the time they can't decide. That is why I see in the euthanasia a great solution when the death is inevitable. I think must be terrible to be prostrate helplessly. When I think in euthanasia comes to my mind good concepts like good death, dignity, rest after so much suffering, etc.

I don't know any famous cases of euthanasia, I think the world is still far to think that way and like always the human before experience with the animals, I know of animals that have die by euthanasia. For example, my dog was old and she was suffer, so we called to veterinarian and he said the solution was the euthanasia because my dog would not improve. I felt so sorry, but I knew my darling dog would  be better.
I don't have religion, so I don't have a belief that say me what I have to do. I think everybody can and must choose what we want in all the moments, inclusive in our death.

The government work should be: give the option to the people, that anybody choose for them, anybody will be able to come to feel what the sick person feel, so is that person who have to choose.
In conclusion, I totally agree with euthanasia, I belive in people’s liberty so I think  they should have a right to choose when they want to die.

What is your opinion about euthanasia?
See you!

Land of legends

I have never travelled to abroad, but when I'm profesional I will travel for all the world before marriage and have family. One of country that I will not let going is Ireland. I think Ireland is a privileged place on the world, is a magic country  that have legends and myths that I would like to know.

I've seen pictures and videos on the attractions of this country and I love it!! Besides, the weather is fantastic for me because I love cold weather, the wind and the rain. I also know that Ireland has many forests and national parks that I would like visit.
Ireland is the origin of the fairies and giants and the music of this country is amazing! I love the celta music and I would like to learn to dance it.
I would like live there becouse I imagine there are calm and silence on the street and the houses look cozy and comfortable.

I think Ireland is the best country to live because it never is in conflict with others countries, maintains its traditions and the natural beauty of the place and  it combines the old and new buildings

I usually watch films at home becouse I can download film from internet sities like “Cuevana” or “Moviezet”. Is more confortable and fast, I have the kitchen near, so I go for food when I want. Besides, there are much variety of films, for all kind of person. I don´t bother rent a films when I can watch one for free at house. If I want to pay for watch a film, I prefer go to cinema.
The best film I have seen is “Shutter Island”, I recomend this movie, becouse keep you on the edge of your seat, only at the end you manage to capture the plot of the movie. But the best chilean films I have watch is “La vida de los peces” because is very romantic and nice. You can see that I like thrillers films and romantic films, depens of my mood.

If I could make a film of my life would be the combination of both becouse my life is very changing. I call it “Discovering life” because I always search a new reason for enjoy the life. Maybe I can discover bad things but my curiosity drives me to know what is behinds the clouds.
